Tata Technologies to create 350 jobs as it scales up operations
Tata Technologies, the global product engineering and digital services company, has announced its plans to scale up its West Midlands operations that will see the creation of around 350 jobs in the region.
The announcement marks a commitment from Tata Technologies’ to develop and leverage the next generation of digital capability and talent in the West Midlands through strategic collaboration with the University of Wolverhampton and the University of Warwick to establish Centres of Excellence for Cybersecurity, FUSA (Functional Safety for Automotive) and AUTOSAR (Automotive Open System Architecture).
Located in Leamington Spa (Tachbrook Park), Tata Technologies’ European Innovation and Development Centre (EIDC) serves as the organisation’s European headquarters delivering engineering and digital solutions across the automotive, aerospace and industrial machinery sectors in European, US and Asia-Pacific markets. It houses engineering support services, two advanced engineering labs and an R&D centre.
This step follows consistent investments being made by Tata Technologies to leverage the talent pool available in order to engineer competitive products through its EIDC.
The announcement coincides with West Midlands mayor Andy Street’s visit to the site, where discussions centred on Tata Technologies’ pledge to develop a diverse and inclusive workforce in the region, supported by its initiative – Rainbow, driven across the organisation. The visit featured a display of the latest technologies in electric and autonomous vehicles being engineered in the West Midlands, which are expected to shape the future of the automotive industry.
