Land near golf club with planning up for sale

A plot of land near a Worcestershire golf club with planning permission for 15 homes is appearing in Bond Wolfe’s next auction at the end of this month.

The land on the Chester Road South in Kidderminster  will have a guide price of £1m to £1.25m at the livestreamed auction on Thursday 30 March.

Colin Totney, land and development surveyor at Bond Wolfe, said that the freehold residential development opportunity was on a site close to Kidderminster Golf Club that extended to approximately one acre.

Totney said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the development of 15 new residential dwellings, together with an area of additional land.

“The property comprises a broadly rectangular shape parcel of land of about one acre or thereabouts with planning permission granted for five four-bedroomed houses, six three-bedroomed houses and four one-bedroomed apartments.

“Four of the dwellings are planned as affordable housing and, as well as the site benefiting from planning permission, an additional area of land adjacent to the railway line is to be included in the sale.

“The site is situated off Chester Road South in Kidderminster, in a popular residential locality close to Kidderminster Golf Club and about half a mile to the south east of Kidderminster town centre.

“Other centres such as Birmingham, Worcester and Stourbridge are about 20, 14 and 8.5 miles respectively, whilst the national motorway network is accessible via Junction 4 of M5 which is about 10 miles away.”

Totney added that the planning permission for residential development, including all the associated access, parking and landscaping works, had been granted by Wyre Forest District Council on 18 November 2020.

He added: “Interested parties must make their own enquiries of the local planning authority and independently satisfy themselves as to the suitability of the property for any use or development they propose.”
