Proptech entrepreneur launches AI rental platform

As demand for UK rental homes continues to hit record highs, one Midlands-based startup entrepreneur has pledged to make much easier and faster work of managing the market with the launch of AI-based rental platform Rentr.

Now available to download in the app stores, Rentr aims to improve the rental experience via a downloadable app that allows landlords to list and manage multiple properties instantly in one platform via their mobile to reduce administration and save them time.

Also unique to market, Rentr enables two-way communication between landlords and tenants, making it easier for tenants to not only find the right property but manage payments, property maintenance and the relationship with their landlord.

Years in the making, the app is the brainchild of Vik Tara.

Tara, who is based in Leamington Spa, said: “It’s incredible to think that there are currently over 5 million rental homes in the UK, a figure which will continue to soar amid the escalating housing deficit. Yet the actual process of renting a property is still a rudimentary and often very cumbersome one. Typically, for the majority of landlords that choose to go it alone, it can involve everything from managing multiple viewings and finding good tenants to endless red tape and admin. The rest pay a small fortune for agents to handle things for them and are often left disappointed.

“In response, Rentr has been developed as a simple, modern way to streamline efficiencies, improve customer service and make it as easy as possible for landlords to find great tenants, save on fees and enjoy stress-free lettings and for tenants to enjoy a much better renting experience.”

He added: “We believe that Rentr is a game-changer for the rental industry. Harnessing the power of AI to offer one true complete solution will redefine the rental experience and  empower landlords on their lettings journey.”
