New CEO begins at Coventry council

Dr Julie Nugent started in her new role as Chief Executive of Coventry City Council yesterday (June 12) after previously working as executive director for economic delivery, skills and communities at the West Midlands Combined Authority.

With more than 20 years experience across education, employment and skills, Nugent will take up the post, replacing Martin Reeves who became the chief executive at Oxfordshire County Council after 14 years in his role at Coventry.

On LinkedIn, Nugent said she was “delighted” to be starting her new position in a “great city, great council and great team”.
