Planning secured for 96,000 sq ft of sheds in Droitwich

Industrial and logistics developer Potter Space is set to add further industrial units to its Droitwich business park, after receiving planning consent.

Plans will see the firm develop up to three new industrial units, with outline planning granted for a 75,000 sq ft shed as well as another 21,000 sq ft unit.

The new additions form part of Potter Space’s £18m investment into the area, with all units constructed to sustainable standards, achieving a BREAAM ‘Very Good’ rating as a minimum on completion, and an EPC rating ‘A’.

Jenna Strover, head of commercial delivery at Potter Space, said: “The success of these recent applications goes to show that the local authorities understand our aim to give back to our community by creating more ‘Homes for Business’, as well as quality jobs.

“Our vision is to create sustainable industrial units that will stand the test of time, constructed using techniques that will minimise the impact on the environment”.

Property consultants, Harris Lamb, oversaw the application which was registered with the local authority in January 2023.

Josie Hobbs, who led the applications for Harris Lamb said “We are particularly pleased to have secured these permissions within the Green Belt. We have an excellent track record of working closely with local authorities to ensure that any concerns and policy are met, minimising any impact on the environment, and utilising land already in an established employment park.

“We look forward to continuing to work alongside Potter Space to improve the park and support its commitment to delivering quality industrial solutions as part of its five-year growth plan.”
