People: Evelyn Partners; Prologis; Burgis & Bullock

Evelyn Partners, the wealth management and professional services group, has appointed Callum Ogden as a financial planner in its Birmingham office.

Ogden has worked in the financial planning profession since 2017 and most recently was a personal wealth adviser at Schroders Personal Wealth.

He has also worked at Simpson Financial Services and Oak Wealth Planning. Prior to that he was in the British Army.

Niraj Vyas, managing partner at Evelyn Partners, said: “I am delighted to welcome Callum to Evelyn Partners. Callum brings valuable experience both from working in financial services and serving in the British Army. I look forward to working with Callum as we continue to grow our brand and presence across the Midlands.”

Ogden added: “I chose Evelyn Partners because of their ability to assist people across the gamut of financial requirements. My carefully constructed financial plans will be backed up by excellent investment management and the additional benefit of the accountancy and wider professional services within the same business means clients can benefit from a properly holistic offering. This hopefully will give them peace of mind about the likelihood of achieving their goals and objectives.”

Prologis, the owner and developer of logistics property, has announced two changes in its capital deployment and leasing team.

Ian Romano steps up to vice president – head of land and development and will widen his current remit to encompass regions outside the Midlands (excluding London) and will lead on land acquisition and development activities.

Romano Ian will act as a key partner to Prologis’ development management team, ensuring the business is aligned on delivering the next generation of Prologis Parks.

As vice president – head of leasing, Sally Duggleby will be responsible for all leasing activity across Prologis’ UK estate, including speculative, second generation and lease renewals.

Paul Weston, regional head, Prologis UK, said: “In addition to our strengths in the ‘big box’ market, Prologis UK’s position has evolved significantly over the past five years, with our portfolio now featuring urban logistics, data centres, and life sciences, with further development on the horizon.

“These changes to the Capital Deployment & Leasing team will ensure we have the right people focused on two of our core activities of development and leasing, both of which are becoming increasingly challenging to navigate.

“Sally and Ian have both made significant contributions to the business’ strategic development so far, and I am confident they will continue to do so in their new positions.”

An accountancy firm has made a key appointment in its corporate tax team.

Will Moore has been appointed as corporate tax manager at Warwickshire-based Burgis & Bullock.

He has more than 10 years of experience working in the financial services sector and makes the step up to management after first joining the firm in 2017.

Burgis & Bullock has offices in Leamington, Rugby, Stratford-upon-Avon and Nuneaton – with Moore operating primarily from the company’s Leamington office.

He said: “I’ve developed well as a professional since joining Burgis & Bullock six years ago and I’m pleased to be making the step up to a management role.

“The partners and senior team at the firm have played a key role in my progression and in particular Anne Rose, the former head of tax, has been integral to that development.

“Since joining the firm, I have been proud to represent the business to external audiences and will continue to do that. Burgis & Bullock has a strong track record of providing young people with opportunities for professional growth, and I will be looking to help continue that drive in my new role.

“We are seeking to expand the corporation tax team and it’s great to be a part of that.”

His promotion to corporate tax manager follows the departure of Emma Fisher from the firm, who is moving out of the practice into a role in the education sector after 27 years with Burgis & Bullock.
