Manufacturing Technology Centre appoints comms agency

The Birmingham office of communications agency Grayling has been appointed by the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC).

The agency will develop a dedicated press office function, building on the MTC’s brand visibility and showcasing its pioneering work at its Coventry campus and satellite facilities in Liverpool and Oxford across various sectors, including the built environment, power and energy, and developing the skills needed for the future.

Established in 2010, the MTC represents one of the largest public sector investments in UK manufacturing.

Bernd Hofmann, chief marketing officer at the MTC, comments: “The MTC serves as a catalyst for the future growth and success of advanced manufacturing in the UK. We are thrilled to partner with Grayling to really showcase the cutting-edge work within our world-class facilities and the opportunities we provide to help organisations of all sizes in tackling some of the biggest issues society faces.”

Patrick Fraser, director, and head of Grayling’s Southern region, added: “We have seen a tremendous start to 2023, with more businesses exploring their long-term brand vision and comprehensive communications strategies. We are excited to use our expertise in the manufacturing sector to highlight the MTC’s remarkable endeavours. This includes their ground-breaking work in advancing low carbon hydrogen production capacity and spearheading a swift energy transition towards achieving Net Zero, which has the potential to revolutionise the UK industry.”

From its office on Colmore Row, Grayling Birmingham has had a prominent presence in the Midlands region for over 40 years. The agency has worked with a range of Midlands-based clients, including HSBC UK and the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
