Pre-pack deal secures manufacturer’s future

All jobs have been saved at a portable building manufacturer after administrators secured a pre-package deal.

Solihull-based Halletts Group was incorporated thirty years ago and traded as a freight and haulage company up until 2021 when the haulage side of the business ceased.

The company then diversified into a supplier of bespoke buildings and converter of steel containers into modern work and home spaces but suffered due to the cost-of-living crisis and substantial bad debt.

Halletts Space has purchased the firm, with all employees transferred to the company.

Leonard Curtis’ Conrad Beighton and David Griffiths were appointed as Joint Administrators of Halletts Group on August 2.

Beighton said: “The pre-packaged sale achieved represents the best outcome for the Company’s creditors as a whole and has resulted in the successful transfer of all jobs to the new entity.”
