A founding shareholder of a female shaving and beauty subscription service has completed a management buy-out for the Cannock-based business.

FFS Beauty, short for Fuss-Free Shaving has more than 100,000 customers and has picked up awards such as the eco-lifestyle winner, editor’s choice and winner at the Beauty Shortlist Awards.

Founded in 2016, FFS Beauty looked to create a superior option to men’s razors and has since gone on to develop razors, body care and hair care products tailored to women.

Now Des McManus has acquired a majority share in the business and is taking over as CEO to deliver a new strategic direction and growth plan for the business.

McManus was advised by Harveer Gill, supported by James England, of Debrett’s Private Finance. They worked alongside Neil Jones and Emma Rowley of Ansons Solicitors LLP with tax structuring advice from James Geary of Randall and Payne LLP

“Many thanks to all the advisors on this transaction. I am grateful for their support throughout this deal which, I am confident, will allow FFS to thrive in the years to come” said Des McManus, CEO and owner.
