Partnership formed for tech growth initiatives
TechWM (Tech West Mids), a not-for-profit initiative supported by the West Midlands Combined Authority, has announced a collaboration with Boardwave, a networking community for over 1,200 European software founders and CEOs.
Both organisations help to foster collaboration and growth across the technology sector and focus on helping firms scale by providing networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, and mentoring from experienced tech leaders.
The partnership includes bringing Boardwave Breakout sessions to local CEOs and founders, offering a forum to problem-solve critical business challenges.
The collaboration kicks off with a new Boardwave Breakout for an initial cohort of six to eight West Midlands tech founders.
Tech commissioner for the West Midlands and Boardwave advisor, Martin Ward, said: “The West Midlands tech sector has earned the right to become a global tech superpower but to get there, we have to ruthlessly collaborate. This is why we’re all so excited to bring this partnership to life; the impact on local tech companies and business people will no doubt be extremely valuable, which will benefit the sector as a whole. We must work effectively together towards our common goal and the Boardwave Breakout sessions are a great way to make that happen.”
