Entrepreneur enters new partnership with former Dragon

Josh Powell and James Caan CBE

Birmingham businessman Josh Powell, CEO of Joshua Robert has entered a new partnership with Recruitment Entrepreneur (RE), backed by James Caan CBE, formerly on Dragon’s Den, marking a milestone in his entrepreneurial journey.

Powell founded Joshua Robert, a Midlands-based property recruitment firm, six years ago. Specialising in placements across the UK and US, the company now has a team of 10 and achieving £5m in revenue.

Leaving school at 16, Powell initially went into the accounts department of a recruitment agency, he then became a branch manager by the age of 20 and then he was appointed as the youngest director at Hays at just 25.

He now aims to lead the global real estate and property market, covering various roles like chartered surveyors and facilities managers.

To achieve this, he’s teaming up with Recruitment Entrepreneur (RE) for their proven track record in business growth.

He now hopes bringing RE’s CEO, Greg Hollis, and CFO, Angus McDowell, onto Joshua Robert’s board will help steer the company in the right direction.

He said: “We have significant reach and access to exclusive talent which aren’t accessible to our more generalist competitors.
This also means we’re specialists in filling niche roles in areas such as strategic asset management, building, and rural surveying.”

Greg Hollis, CEO of Recruitment Entrepreneur, said: “We’re excited to welcome Joshua Robert into the portfolio. Their vast network, sector experience, and exceptional company culture, coupled with Recruitment Entrepreneur’s market-leading platform to deliver scale, and unparalleled know-how; will elevate and guide the growth of the business to become a globally recognised brand.”
