Davis has emerged as a formidable force in the beauty and wellness industry after creating the trailblazing natural haircare brand tailored for Afro-textured and curly hair.
Nylah’s Naturals was launched in 2018 from Davis’ bid to alleviate her daughter’s eczema and has since has gained widespread recognition and is now available in major retailers such as Superdrug and Boots.
The firm recently secured £530k in a funding round led by Midven and has appointed Bob Holt OBE, former CEO of the global cosmetics brand Revolution Beauty as its executive chairman and Dr. Sharon Wong, a renowned dermatologist and hair loss disorders specialist, has been named as the clinical advisor.
You may recognise Davis from her appearance on Dragons’ Den from which she secured £50k from Sara Davies for a 40% stake, but ultimately walked away from the deal to keep hold of the decision-making power.
Davis is not only a visionary entrepreneur but a proud mother of two and an active member of her community.
