Coventry and Warwick get £30m investment for hotel developments

Investments exceeding £30m are slated for hotel developments in Coventry and North Warwickshire this year.

The Hotel Indigo in Coventry stands out as the largest investment, a newly constructed £20m, 100-bedroom facility managed by Castlebridge Hospitality.

A forthcoming Hampton by Hilton Hotel in Nuneaton, featuring 145 rooms, is set to become the focal point of Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council’s Grayson Place development under the Transforming Nuneaton initiative.

The Barn At Berryfields, a renowned family-owned establishment in Meriden is embarking on a new venture this year, with the construction of a 33-bedroom hotel.

Warwick Conferences, nestled within the University of Warwick campus, recently allocated £4m towards refurbishing 204 bedrooms at its Scarman accommodation, prioritizing energy-efficient enhancements.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph Hotel in Coventry, operational since 2021, has revamped its restaurant area this year, improving guest comfort with additional seating arrangements.

Progress is also underway at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel at Coventry Building Society Arena, with a comprehensive renovation encompassing all 121 bedrooms, lobby, restaurant, and integration of cutting-edge technologies, slated for completion by summer.

Plans are also underway for a 41-bedroom extension at DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry in Walsgrave.

Conference Coventry and Warwickshire, operating under the destination management organisation Destination Coventry, spearheads efforts to promote and facilitate tourism growth in the region.
