Pure Staff wins extended Cargo Express contract

Midlands-based employment business Pure Staff has been awarded an extended contract by Cargo Express, an iconic Birmingham-based logistics company.

Cargo Express provide tailor-made transport, logistics and warehousing solutions to businesses across the UK and Europe, making over 3,000 time-critical deliveries a week.

Pure Staff won the ‘preferred supplier’ contract with Cargo Express in 2023 and has recently extended the contract by a further 12 months in recognition of a prolonged and successful supply period.

Pure Staff provide Cargo Express with 24-hour temporary recruitment support covering a range of requirements including Van Drivers, Heavy Goods Drivers, and Warehouse Operatives.

Pure Staff have supplied Cargo Express now for nearly 15 years and in a statement Pure Staff operations director, Luke Bartlett, said: “Renewing the contract with Cargo was a moment of genuine pride for all of us at Pure Staff. Having the opportunity to work even more closely with a business like Cargo is a real testament to our team’s passion and commitment to provide a quality service.”

Senior branch manager Josh Clover said “Our drivers understand the standards set by Cargo are for the betterment of everyone involved in the supply chain. It’s vital to us that we keep in close and consistent communication on all levels to maintain these high standards.”

In 2023, Pure Staff supported 649 businesses in the UK with labour provisions using a combination of meaningful engagement through human interaction together with modern technology to support their clients with the onboarding and inducting of new starters.

Pure Staff MD David Whitehouse added: “We have expanded our operational reach with the use of modern technology and will continue to grow the business through a commitment.”
