Law firm Fieldfisher has strengthened its employment law offering with the appointment of Anna Youngs, who joins the firm’s Birmingham office.
Joining from Clarke Willmott, where she was a partner, Youngs joins Fieldfisher as a practice development lawyer within Fieldfisher’s European employment, pensions, immigration and compliance group (EPIC).
Having spent her career in the West Midlands, Youngs brings a wealth of experience to Fieldfisher, with a career focused on advising employers on various employment law matters, including outsourcing, TUPE, discrimination issues, and litigation.
Furthermore, in 2021, Anna was appointed as an employment judge for the Southwest region, making her the second Judge in Fieldfisher’s UK employment practice.

Aon has announced that its specialist national insolvency insurance and risk team, based in Birmingham, has made two promotions as it seeks to further grow this area of the business.
Specialising in providing risk and insurance services across a diverse range of insolvency and restructuring scenarios, the Aon team works closely with partners both regionally and nationally and has built a strong reputation for the longevity of those relationships, as well as its expertise in delivering flexible and appropriate solutions.
Due to the team’s continued growth, Menna Dillon and Adrian Myhill have both been promoted to client director roles.
With an insurance career that spans over 20 years, Menna joined Aon’s insolvency and restructuring team five years ago from Marsh, where she was a member of the trade credit team. At Aon, she provides clients with strategic insurance and bonding support, with a particular focus on working with fixed-charge receivers.
Dillon said: “The support I’ve received since joining the team five years ago has enabled me to work hard towards this promotion. I’m now looking forward to taking on new challenges and to contributing further to the team’s growth and success.”
Myhill has specialised in insolvency insurance for almost his entire career and before joining Aon, spent almost a decade at WTW. He works with key clients on their complex risks providing technical advice which enables them to make better decisions around their recovery strategies.
He said: “Having built such a breadth of experience in insolvency insurance, I’m excited to take the next step with this promotion to client director. I am particularly looking forward to seeing how we can support more Aon clients with our specialist services that drive additional value in complex insolvency and restructuring cases.”

National law firm TLT has appointed five new legal directors as the firm continues its growth in Birmingham.
The firm has grown its litigation practice with the appointment of three litigators including Rebekah Finch who has joined TLT’s national commercial dispute resolution team to advise a wide range of corporate and commercial clients about various commercial disputes.
Alongside Finch, Amanda Wootton and Julie Peel have joined TLT’s financial services disputes and investigations team, providing expert legal advice to a wide variety of financial institutions, and advising on some of the most complex disputes in the financial services sector.
TLT has also strengthened its corporate offering with the appointment of Leanne Fryer who specialises in M&A for large corporates, SMEs and owner-managers.
At TLT, she will focus on MBOs, private equity investments and equity release arrangements.
In addition, the firm has appointed public procurement and public sector contracts expert Claire Gamage to its commercial team.
Gamage has over a decade of experience supporting both public bodies and private businesses on high-profile procurements, predominantly in the IT, healthcare, defence, real estate and infrastructure sectors, and will play a central part in expanding TLT’s commercial offering.
The news builds on the recent opening of TLT’s office in Birmingham has also seen the appointment of Mathew Harvey as a corporate partner, Roger Potgieter as a partner in the financial services dispute team and Mark Elder who has joined as head of the location and as a partner in the commercial dispute team.
