Restaurant opens its doors after £1m transformation

A new gourmet restaurant and bar called the Lester Arms has officially opened its doors in South Staffordshire.

Created by local packaging entrepreneur Billy Hutchinson, the restaurant is located at the former New Inns on Kiddemore Green Road in Brewood.

The establishment has transformed, with an investment of over £1m, now offering a space where locals can gather for drinks, host events, and enjoy a selection of starters, main meals, and desserts made from locally sourced ingredients.

20 new jobs have also been created, including the recruitment of head chef Phil Jones, known for his culinary experience at establishments such as Le Caprice in Mayfair and the Hartley Arms in Wheaton Aston.

Hutchinson said: “We’ve taken some of the best personal experiences of dining all over the world and combined them with the freshest local produce and unique Staffordshire atmosphere to create The Lesters Arms.  There is nothing else like it in Wolverhampton and South Staffs. We want it to become a place where people return to time and time again, whether that is to socialise with friends, enjoy a creative great-tasting menu and a level of service they can’t get anywhere else.”
