Acquisition forms £60m turnover tech group

Intercity CEO Andrew Jackson

Intercity has announced the acquisition of Centrality, creating a £60m turnover company employing more than 325 staff.

The move is set to enhance Intercity’s Microsoft capabilities and managed service offerings for its 1,300 customers across the UK.

The Birmingham provider of managed IT services, cloud solutions, security, and communications has acquired Bedfordshire-headquartered Centrality, a Microsoft service partner with more than 25 years of extensive experience with Microsoft technologies.

As part of the acquisition, Centrality’s CEO, David Keeling, will join Intercity’s leadership team as a managing director.

The integration plan ensures continuity for Centrality’s 100-person workforce, who will continue operations from the Bedfordshire office.

Intercity owner & group CEO Andrew Jackson said: “We are thrilled to welcome Centrality to the Intercity Group. Centrality has grown significantly over the last five years and become well-known for its innovative and forward-thinking solutions by taking a Microsoft and cloud-first approach. Our commitment to be the best tech partner to work for and with will only be strengthened with this news. We look forward to welcoming all Centrality colleagues and their complementary expertise as they join the Intercity Group.

“At its core this deal is about people. Both Intercity and Centrality are not built on any specific IT product but on the huge expertise and relationships within our teams. That’s why I’m so glad Centrality CEO David Keeling is joining us.”
