People: Tech Nation; Muse; Stephen Alexander

Birmingham-based entrepreneur, Melissa Snover, has been named as one of the new advisors to Tech Nation.

Joining leaders from the likes of Google Ventures, HSBC Innovation Banking, and Founders Forum, Snover’s experience in the health-tech, manufacturing, and global exporting sectors will help to shape the future of the UK’s tech industry.

In addition to the Tech Nation role, she has also joined Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce’s Business Commission West Midlands as a commissioner.

This role has been launched to deliver a roadmap for business growth and bases its recommendation on insights from
hundreds of organisations from across the region.

She said: “Firstly, I want to celebrate what’s been a fantastic period of growth for Rem3dy Health, and everyone involved. My recent appointments and the upcoming presentation of the King’s Award for Enterprise highlight the significant impact our work is having, not just within the UK but on a global scale. Our expansion into Europe and Japan signifies the broad-reaching influence and potential of our patented technology, marking a pivotal moment in our journey towards redefining health and nutrition worldwide.

“We’re no longer competing with fellow cities or regions, and organisations like Tech Nation look to harness the opportunity for the entire of the UK to come together to make an impact on an international scale. I am honoured to be able to contribute to that and speak for fellow founders about the support and investment needed to ensure we successfully scale.”
