Electric scooter developers set sights on creating 500 jobs

A joint venture is hoping to create 500 jobs as it spearheads the development of an electric two-wheeled scooter.

PURE EV an electric 2-wheeler scooter OEM in India has revealed a joint venture with Pragmatic Design Solutions (PDSL) in the UK, based in Coventry.

Set to attract investment ranging from £30m to £40m, the joint venture will be established at the Coventry University Technology Park.

PDSL, renowned since 2010 for its engineering and digital technology solutions, serves clients such as Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin and Volkswagen.

The vehicle will integrate advanced technology with sustainable design principles, featuring a range of 250 KMPH, a top speed exceeding 100 KMPH, and an AI-based platform offering troubleshooting and onboard charging.
