Polly O'Malley

Browne Jacobson has added to its education practice with the appointments of a partner and senior associate specialising in employment law.

Polly O’Malley joins the law firm as head of education employment after eight years at Stone King, where she was deputy head of education.

Faisal Sameja has also been hired as senior associate from the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL), where he headed up the in-house legal team as senior solicitor.

Both are based in Browne Jacobson’s Birmingham office.

LCP, part of M Core, the West Midlands commercial property and investment company, has made a series of promotions.

Four senior asset managers, George Kearney, George Watson, Claudia Gasparro and Alex Williams have been promoted in the firm’s senior team.

In support of the asset management team, Alec Turner has been promoted to senior building surveyor, tasked with supporting the wider estates department covering buildings, service engineers and CAD technicians. Additionally, Jo Skidmore has been promoted to the role of senior facilities manager.

Further promotions include Beth Powell as HR manager, Aaron Holmes as IT services & infrastructure manager, Lauren Cooke as cash allocation supervisor, Andrew Parsons as finance data coordinator, Erica Marsh as senior receptionist and Jayden Hackett as transactional project analyst.

Alongside these appointments, changes have occurred within LCP’s in-house legal team, with Amy James assuming the mantle of general counsel & head of legal (UK), and Sophie Faulkner being appointed as associate legal director.
