People: Fourth Wall Building Consultancy; Ignite Facilities

Pete Nichols

Chartered building surveyors, Fourth Wall Building Consultancy, have strengthened their team with the appointment of Chartered Surveyor Pete Nichols BSc (Hons) MRICS.

He has joined the existing team as a director and will be working alongside lead director Joshua Weston BSc (Hons) MRICS, and directors Liam Piercy BSc (Hons) MRICS, and Annie Buckley, to further strengthen the project management, development monitoring and dilapidations arms of the business.

Nichols joins Fourth Wall from Hollis Global where he managed multi-million-pound projects across the country, worked for household name banks on development monitoring, and advised landlords and tenants in industrial, office and retail properties on Dilapidations and other landlord and tenant matters.

He said: “I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and growing Fourth Wall’s presence in Birmingham, the wider midlands, and beyond. I was drawn to Fourth Wall’s dynamic approach to Building Surveying, and their focus on personal, pragmatic advice for clients. Having worked on projects up to £16million in value, and development monitoring up to £150million, I’m delighted to
take the reins as Project lead for the business.

“I’m also thrilled to be able to assist the junior development within the team via RICS APC mentoring and via my experience as an APC assessor. There’s definitely an exciting future ahead both personally and with Fourth Wall.”

Joshua Weston BSc (Hons) MRICS said: “This is such an exciting time for Fourth Wall and I’m delighted to have Pete join the team as we enter a new period of growth. It’s amazing to be able to attract such great talent professionally into the practice,
which is a real testament to the direction we’re heading as a business.

The appointment will allow key development of our Project and wider Development Monitoring Services as well as enhancement of our dilapidations offering. I know Pete will have a significant impact on our team and strategic development, regionally and nationally, with our existing clients and future partners.”
