Law firm surpasses £100m mark in latest financial results

Browne Jacobson has achieved record financial results with a 12% year-on-year increase in turnover, surpassing £118m.

Over the past decade, the Nottingham-headquartered firm, which also has a bases around the UK including Birmingham, has more than doubled its turnover, increasing from £50m in 2014.

In 2023, Browne Jacobson expanded its presence by launching its first office in the Welsh market, located in Cardiff, marking its seventh location overall. The firm also strengthened its Irish operations in Dublin, which began in 2022.

Further strengthening its capabilities, Browne Jacobson recently welcomed a technology and commercial law team from EY Law, led by Rowan Armstrong and Alex Mason.

In terms of client portfolio expansion, this portfolio includes Siemens, Strong Roots, Sanctuary Housing Group, Department for Transport, EI Electronics, University of Plymouth, St John Ambulance and Voyage Care.

Browne Jacobson has also made several partner appointments, including Emma Capper as head of employment, William Darmody to lead the Dublin corporate team, Polly O’Malley as head of education employment, and others specialising in areas such as insolvency, restructuring, corporate law, private client services, inheritance disputes, higher education and charities.

The firm has also promoted 35 individuals to partner, legal director and senior associate positions.
