Recruitment agency poised for strongest year yet

Genesis Employment, a Coventry-based independent recruitment agency is set for its strongest year yet, with rising revenues driven by demand from sectors like automotive, engineering, food, and warehousing.

Established in 2002 by Gaynor and Richard Frost at Hay Lane, the firm currently employs 15 staff members and anticipates reaching £9.2m in annual sales by 2024.

Recent hires, including a sales director and senior operations manager, have strengthened Genesis Employment’s capabilities, particularly in the construction sector.

Gaynor Frost said: “The majority of our recent growth has been achieved in and around Coventry and we value highly the long-term partnerships we have built with local employers and workers. We are arguably now the largest independent recruitment agency in the city and sales are steadily heading towards £10m, which is a fantastic achievement from everyone involved in
the company.

“A lot of candidates are Coventry City fans, so it made perfect sense to give something back and support the John Sillett and George Curtis statue appeal. Critically acclaimed UK sculptor Douglas Jennings, who has previously immortalised footballing
royalty in Johnny Haynes, George Cohen and Jack Charlton, has already agreed to sculpt it.”

The owners are now aiming to give back to their city by supporting an appeal that honours the achievements of John Sillett and George Curtis in bringing the FA Cup to Coventry.
Genesis Employment has contributed £10,000 to the campaign, bringing the total raised to £185,000, with only £15,000 needed to reach the target.

The statue, to be crafted by sculptor Douglas Jennings, will celebrate John Sillett and George Curtis’ contributions to Coventry City Football Club.
