Brewing company raises a glass to new non-executive chair

Brewing and pub retailing business, Marston’s PLC has announced that Kenneth (“Ken”) Lever has today been appointed as independent non-executive chair of the Company with effect from 8 July 2024.
Ken Lever will succeed William Rucker at the Wolverhampton-based firm, who is stepping down from the Board. On the same date, Lever will also take on the role of chair of the nomination committee.
Lever brings experience as a business leader, having held senior executive and non-executive positions in various UK-listed companies across sectors like retail, manufacturing, construction, software, and business services.
Currently, he serves as the non-executive chair at Cirata PLC, senior independent director at Rockwood Strategic plc and deputy chair of Rainier Developments.
Recently retired from the board of Vertu Motors PLC, he has also been the non-executive chair of Biffa plc and RPS Group plc and a non-executive director at Blue Prism plc.
