Specialist steel and fabric firm Beakbane has acquired Crown Precision Engineering, to boost its manufacturing capabilities and expand the business across the UK.

Crown, a Milton Keynes manufacturer of high-precision machined components and sheet metal fabrication, will be integrated into the Kidderminster-based group.

The deal follows Beakbane’s rescue of Radshape, a Midlands manufacturer located in Birmingham, which saved 30 jobs.

Wilkes’ Corporate team, led by Partner, Rick Smyth and supported by Christie Nelson, advised Beakbane in the acquisition process. The transaction was further supported by Leighann Richards, Solicitor in Wilkes’ Real Estate team, and Beakbane’s accountants, BSN Associates.

Mike Southwell, Beakbane’s managing director said: “The acquisition of Crown Precision Engineering is a strategic move that will support our long-term growth ambitions. We appreciate the guidance provided by Wilkes throughout this process, which has been instrumental in securing a deal that aligns with our goals”.

Rick Smyth, Partner at Wilkes commented on the deal: “We are delighted to have advised Beakbane on this acquisition, which will undoubtedly enhance their industry-leading capabilities. Crown Precision Engineering’s expertise aligns perfectly with Beakbane’s vision and operational strengths. Our team ensured that the transaction was completed smoothly, addressing all potential risks and securing a seamless integration.”
