Homes England seeks contractor for £23m Rugby road
Homes England has launched a search for a civil engineering contractor to construct a £23m road outside Rugby.
The housing agency plans to shortlist five companies to compete for the £23m Homestead Link Road project, which will unlock the development of a new community comprising 5,000 homes.
It will involve building a 2 km single-carriageway road for all types of traffic, linking the A426 (Rugby Road) with the B4429 (Coventry Road).
The new road is essential for the South West Rugby development, which will include 5,000 homes, primary and secondary schools, a new neighbourhood centre, 35 hectares of employment land and green spaces.
Interested contractors must submit their applications by September 27, with the contract set to commence in July of next year.
