Gateley Global, part of the professional services group Gateley, has been appointed by the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) to lead a High Growth Accelerator Programme (HGAP)

The program is aimed at fostering growth in the region’s companies and is designed to support 50 businesses in the West Midlands with tailored assistance.

It offers a range of free resources to help businesses overcome growth barriers and achieve sustainable expansion.

Eligible businesses will receive personalised support from a Key Account Manager (KAM), who will work with them to set growth goals, assess their current situation, identify challenges, and develop a comprehensive growth plan.

The KAM will provide ongoing, intensive support to implement this plan, leveraging Gateley Global’s extensive resources and the WMCA’s professional network.

The programme includes over 100 service offerings, such as strategy and business model development, leadership coaching, market entry strategies, governance, tax and legal services, finance, HR, intellectual property, commercial property, and more.

To qualify for the HGAP, businesses must:
– Have increased revenue or headcount by over 20% in the past two years
– Conduct at least 75% of their activities within Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, or Wolverhampton
– Have revenue between £1m and £36m or have received over £500,000 in funding in the past three years
– Employ fewer than 250 people

The programme is fully funded, providing businesses with access to Gateley Global’s expertise at no cost, thanks to the backing of WMCA.

Dr Jamie Elliott, delivery manager of business at WMCA said: “The High Growth Accelerator Programme is a game-changer for businesses in the West Midlands region, offering invaluable support at no cost. By participating, companies can tap into expert guidance tailored to their specific needs, helping them navigate challenges and unlock new growth opportunities. This programme is an excellent way for businesses to sharpen their competitive edge, drive innovation, and ensure long-term success in the region’s thriving economy.
