Vehicle transporter group swoops for logistics firm
Commercial vehicle transportation group DMN has acquired a Tipton-based logistics firm as part of its strategy to improve its position in the UK automotive logistics sector.
Specialist Vehicle Logistics’ operations will add to DMN’s 4,000 vehicles at their eight sites in Romford, Peterborough, Hixon, Cotes Heath, Smethwick, Brierley Hill, Cannock and Livingston.
Nick Chadaway, managing director of DMN Group, said: “This acquisition is a great step forward for DMN Group. It strengthens our service offering and expands our reach. We are excited about the opportunities this brings and are grateful to Wilkes and Burgis & Bullock for their expert guidance throughout the process.”
The transaction was overseen by Burgis & Bullock, who handled the financial aspects, and Wilkes, who provided legal advice to DMN Group.
Rick Smyth, partner at Wilkes, led the legal team, supported by Christie Nelson and Leighann Richards.
On the financial side, Burgis & Bullock’s Simon Chapman, along with Niall Douglas, played key roles in facilitating the deal.
Rick Smyth, partner in Wilkes’ Corporate team, said: “We have been working with Nick and the DMN team for over 10 years now. It has been a privilege to advise Nick and the team at DMN Group once again on this acquisition. It once again demonstrates our continued commitment to long-term client relationships.
“The automotive logistics sector is evolving rapidly, and this acquisition places DMN in a strong position to capitalise on future growth opportunities. We look forward to seeing the continued success of DMN as it expands its presence in the market.”
