Mexican chain continues expansion with new Birmingham location
Mexican food chain Boojum has unveiled plans to open its third UK restaurant in Birmingham later this autumn.
After recently opening its second location in Nottingham, Boojum is set to launch a 54-seat restaurant on New Street in Birmingham city centre, taking over the former Second Cup Coffee unit and creating 25 local jobs.
Founded in Belfast in 2007, Boojum now operates 18 locations across the UK and Ireland.
The menu features a range of Mexican favourites, such as burritos, bowls, nachos, tacos, chips, and salsa.
Boojum CEO, David Maxwell, said: “We are delighted to see our expansion plans continue apace with the launch of Birmingham. It’s the ideal demographic for us with its eclectic culture, popular retail destinations and of course its fantastic food. We can’t wait to bring our fresh, bold Mexican flavours to the city.”
Boojum’s head of operations Rob Powell, said: “Boojum Birmingham represents further investment in our rapid UK expansion plans, we have chosen a prime city centre location close to Birmingham Town Hall and the design and fit out to transform it into a bright and vibrant Boojum restaurant will commence shortly.”
