Road marking giant snaps up tech firm

WJ Group has acquired the business and assets of tech firm Sunstone IP Systems in a move that hopes to improve its technology solutions and provide a foundation for future development.

Based in Staffordshire, WJ Group is a provider of highway safety and road marking solutions, generating over £100m in annual revenue as a trusted partner for the strategic road network, local authorities and various off-highway sectors.

Sunstone offers products that include the design, assembly and installation of solar-powered security systems, surveillance and IoT connectivity.

The deal was facilitated with the assistance of legal advisors from Knights, led by Lisa Bridgwood and Luke Pritchard, along with accountants from DJH.
