Rachel Hill, new director at AspinallVerdi

Independent nationwide property regeneration consultants AspinallVerdi continue to expand with the appointment of Rachel Hill as a director in the firm’s Birmingham office serving public and private sector clients across the Midlands.

Rachel joins the growing consultancy after 16 years at the Birmingham office of commercial real estate agency Avison Young, having joined the firm’s in-house graduate scheme and rising through the ranks to be an associate director.

A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and RICS Registered Valuer, Rachel specialises in areas including development appraisals, development agency, development consultancy, formal valuation advice, land acquisition and disposal, marketing, strategic land advice and local property market reviews.

Her extensive project experience across the Midlands includes the Canalside South residential scheme for the City of Wolverhampton Council and Canal & River Trust, advising Michael Blanning Trust Housing Association on retirement living, formal valuation advice for Strata Homes, consultancy advice for Miller Homes, acting for Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham Community NHS Trust and Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, Homes England, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire and Places for People.

Led by executive director Parm Dosanjh, the AspinallVerdi team serves the Midlands from The Colmore Building, Queensway, Birmingham, and has a widening client base including Birmingham City Council, Coventry City Council, Lichfield District Council and Wolverhampton City Council, Bromsgrove and Redditch district councils, Clarion Housing Group, Homes England and Worcestershire County Council.

Joining Rachel at the Birmingham office of AspinallVerdi is consultant Molly Toon who is relocating to the Midlands following two years at the firm’s London office.

Founded in 2009 by Atam Verdi and managing director Ben Aspinall, the independent provider of property regeneration consultancy to clients in the public and private sectors now has a workforce of about 30 at its headquarters in Leeds and offices in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Liverpool, Birmingham and London.

Midlands law firm Lodders has appointed a marketing manager to oversee its marketing department and activities.

Molly Davies joins the team with more than six years of experience in professional services marketing, having previously worked in marketing roles at a Coventry-based law firm, a Birmingham tax specialist, and regional accountancy firm Prime Accountants Group. Prior to joining Lodders, Molly completed a contract with Next as an internal comms and event specialist.

Molly has a degree in Media and Communication from Birmingham City University and a Diploma in Professional Marketing through the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

As part of her role, Molly will also be a trustee for the Lodders Charitable Foundation, which supports regional charities that make a real difference to their communities.

Commenting on joining Lodders, Molly says: “I am delighted to be applying my skills in professional services marketing to my new role with Lodders. The world of marketing is ever changing and there is always a new development or trend to investigate. Francesca Rushworth

Stoke-on-Trent law firm Myers & Co has strengthened its wills and probate team with the appointment of solicitor Francesca Rushworth.

Francesca trained at Clyde Chappell & Botham, which is also based in Stoke, and qualified in the summer.

She specialises in private client work on matters such as wills, lasting powers of attorney and probate.

She said: “I’m looking forward to expanding my skills and knowledge as part of the Myers & Co team. There’s a lot of expertise here and I feel very welcomed as part of the expanding team. I love the community aspect of the firm and look forward to being able to make a positive difference with colleagues and clients.”

Established in 2005, Myers & Co offers a range of private client legal services across Staffordshire and beyond, including wills, LPA, Court of Protection matters and legacy arrangements.

In addition, it has specialists in dispute resolution, corporate and commercial work, residential and commercial property, intellectual property, civil litigation, employment and family law.
