Property specialist Centrick has strengthened its valuation team with the appointment of Iain McArthur as valuation director.
McArthur has more than 25 years of experience in the property sector, including senior roles at Cushman & Wakefield, Colliers and, most recently, IM Properties, where he was strategic land director.
He will be based at Centrick’s Birmingham office, where, working as a valuation director, he will support the team in the Midlands by providing valuations for secured lending purposes, including residential and commercial, while strengthening Centrick’s expertise and existing strength in development viability work.
Katherine Nolan, director and head of valuation at Centrick’s Birmingham headquarters, said: “Bringing someone with Iain’s experience into our growing team is a huge boost and extends both the depth and the capacity of our solutions. This senior appointment enables us to continue to enhance our portfolio with development viability advice to both our lending and non-lending clients including developers, housing associations and the public sector.
“Our valuation offering at Centrick has grown significantly since 2020 – Iain’s appointment is a real testament to the stability, service and performance of the team which has grown in size and gone from strength to strength in respect of developing new business relationships.”
McArthur said: “Over the many years I’ve worked in property, I have witnessed Centrick go from strength to strength and I believe there are huge opportunities to continue this pattern through continued service excellence and through innovative solution growth for both our existing and new clients.”
James Ackrill, founder of Centrick, said: “It is exciting to welcome someone with Iain’s in-depth experience to the Centrick team. The knowledge and expertise Iain has built will be invaluable and I am sure he will play a key role in both the valuation team’s strategic growth and in continuing to deliver exceptional solutions to our clients and their customers.”
