Consultancy launches built environment advisory service

James Ford, product & innovation director at Hoare Lea

Birmingham-based consultancy Hoare Lea has introduced a new advisory & advocacy service to assist organisations in the built environment with decision-making and managing complex challenges.

The service offers expertise in areas such as sustainability, project viability, energy efficiency, and technology adoption.

It includes six key areas: navigating regulations, creating climate-conscious buildings, optimising energy use, ensuring infrastructure feasibility, understanding community needs and leveraging digital tools.

Advisory & Advocacy is designed to help clients address issues like decarbonisation, shifting demands, and tenant expectations while supporting the full lifecycle of building projects.

James Ford, product & innovation director at Hoare Lea said: “Clients often come to us with a specific, practical need, and an established brief, which we have a strong track record for delivering. But our clients have told us that the biggest challenges they face today are project viability impacted by rising costs, finance rates, and the scale of investment needed to maintain and decarbonise their portfolios.

“Clients that speak to us about their wider goals and concerns as a business can benefit from our Advocacy and Advisory service, drawing on our expertise, be that engineering, psychology, technology, finance, and being a trusted guide, a critical friend, and a long-term partner. With this level of collaboration we can help steer their decision-making, increase the potential of their investments, improve the resilience of their business models, exceed the expectations and demands from their tenants, create new revenue streams, and remove potential blockers.”
