445 homes given the green light in Warwickshire
Approval has been granted for 445 new homes in Bedford, Warwickshire, by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.
The development, led by Persimmon Homes Central, will be located off Hospital Lane and includes a mix of homes from Persimmon and its sister brand, Charles Church.
Of the homes, 25% are intended to be transferred to a housing association partner for rent and shared ownership.
Persimmon aims to provide a biodiversity net gain, with new habitat creation including hedgerow and tree planting, water features and woodland.
Neil Williams, regional managing director at Persimmon Homes Central said: “We’re proud to have secured approval to deliver our new community at Hospital Lane in Bedworth. Our upcoming new community will bring a wide range of new benefits to the area, including key infrastructure, open spaces, community centres, play areas and allotments, leaving a legacy of community benefits for the people of Bedworth and the surrounding areas.
“Throughout the development process, we will be working closely with the local community and Nuneaton and Bedworth District Council to ensure that our development at Hospital Lane contributes to addressing local housing needs and delivers real benefits for the area.”
