TheBusinessDesk.com West Midlands sets the pace

THE launch of TheBusinessDesk.com in the West Midlands has been declared a success just a few days after its launch.
The number of registered users who have signed up to the web and daily email service exceeded the site’s first month target – in just over three days.
Editor Marc Reeves said: “We set ourselves a realistic target based on our experiences in Yorkshire and the North West of 1,000 registered users in the first month. We achieved that target on Thursday morning, and by Friday we were heading steadily towards 1,500.”
TheBusinessDesk.com was launched in Leeds by former Yorkshire Post business editor David Parkin in 2007, followed by a Manchester-based site in 2008. Ex-Birmingham Post editor Marc Reeves launched the West Midlands service on February 1 with deputy editor Duncan Tift.
As well as overwhelming support from readers, companies and organisations keen to reach the site’s business-focused audience are also offering strong commercial support to TheBusinessDesk.com West Midlands. BDO, Hammonds and Bruntwood are launch partners.
The service is free to users, who register with their email addresses and recieve daily or weekly emails according to their preferences.
Opportunties for advertisers include banner advertising across the whole site, sponsorship of the email services and enhanced listings in a comprehensive business directory.
