Saint Paul’s Market set to spice up Birmingham’s food scene

Saint Paul’s Market is set to open its doors in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter this summer, offering a new destination for food lovers.
Independent Birmingham has teamed up with Baltic Market and Buddha Belly and taken a 15-year lease on a 10,000 sq ft warehouse on Mary Ann Street, just off Saint Paul’s Square.
The “chef-led” food hall will see 500 people over two floors and feature six indie kitchens alongside two bars, serving locally brewed craft beers, cocktails, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic cocktails.
“Brum’s very best indie restaurants and the city’s top up-and-coming chefs” will shape the venue, with hopes that Saint Paul’s Market, will act as an “incubator/stepping stone for the city’s brightest culinary talents” to fuel future openings.
Writing on Facebook, Independent Birmingham said: “We’ve spent the last 11 years championing Birmingham’s vibrant independent scene and encouraging countless thousands of people to support local through our social media pages and newsletter, our IB App, and our hugely popular food festivals – creating an essential platform that has helped our independent scene to flourish. And now this is the next stage in our journey to celebrate Brum and showcase our city’s incredible indie scene.”
