Gas-generation systems specialist snapped up by industry giant

MSS Group, a Rugby-headquartered provider of gas-generation systems for the laser cutting industry, has been acquired by global industrial business Atlas Copco.
Founded in 2003, MSS has built a reputation for engineering high-performance gas-generation solutions that help customers cut costs and improve efficiency.
Its patented technology is used worldwide, with installations spanning five continents.
Heligan Corporate Finance (HCF) advised the shareholders of MSS Group on the deal, with the financial terms of the acquisition not being disclosed.

Matt Croker, Greg Easter, and Azam Iqbal from Heligan advised the shareholders of MSS on the M&A deal, while Geoff Perry, Matt Smith, and Sim Basran from Squire Patton Boggs handled the legal aspects, and BDO provided tax guidance.
