Manufacturer cuts steel firm out of administration

Roger Dyson Group, based in Droitwich Spa, has acquired Colstan Profiles, a specialist steel profiling and cutting business, out of administration.

Colstan Profiles, based in Dudley, has been renowned for its precision-cutting services for 35 years.

The acquisition will bring the company and its 17 employees under the Roger Dyson Group umbrella.

Administrators were appointed at Colstan Profiles on 14th March through PKF Cooper Smith, with joint administrators Brett Lee Barton and Dean Anthony Nelson overseeing the process.

Roger Dyson Group, a manufacturer of recovery systems, has been in operation for more than 50 years.

Barton said: “I am pleased that a sale as a going concern could be achieved, saving a well-known business and preserving the jobs of its employees. I was assisted in the transaction by Stephen George of Browne Jacobson in Birmingham.”
