Alternative finance provider boosts Midlands team with new hire

ThinCats, an alternative finance provider for mid-sized SMEs, has appointed James MacKinnon as head of financial planning & analysis (FP&A).

Based in Birmingham, MacKinnon will oversee financial forecasting, strategic planning, and performance analysis, aligning business operations with corporate goals while enhancing data-driven decision-making.

With over 15 years of experience in finance and strategy, he has held senior roles at Commify Group and Scientific Games, where he developed a strong commercial mindset and the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
