PE-backed law firm opens second Wolverhampton office

FBC Manby Bowdler has opened a second base in the heart of Wolverhampton as it continues to expand.

The growing law firm has taken new offices at Paycare House just across the road from its long-term base in George Street.

It follows Horizon Capital’s £30m investment in the 200-strong group, to support its plans to double its size in the next 18 months. FBC Manby Bowdler has become the founding firm of Horizon’s new law group named Adeptio.

Chief executive Neil Lloyd said the move was part of the firm’s continuing growth strategy and represented a significant investment in both the city and its own future.

Lloyd said: “We have a long heritage in Wolverhampton and are delighted to be able to further strengthen our position in the city.

“We have enjoyed a period of considerable growth after securing a £30 million investment from Horizon Capital last year to be the founding firm of the new Adeptio Law Group, and this move means we can deliver our stellar service to even more clients in the future.

“The move to the new office will allow us to bring more of our teams together in one centralised space, helping them to work better and making our service even more convenient to clients.

“It’s a vote of confidence for Wolverhampton and the wider region, which we believe has a really bright future.”

Teams who will be based at the new offices include finance, risk and compliance, new enquiries, HR and marketing.
