Marston’s is summer loving after jump in profits
Pub group Marston's has served up a profitable performance in autumn and winter, with its strategy delivering margin growth.
Chief executive Justin Platt said the business is "excited for the summer months ahead".
It generated £19m profits in the six months to March, a big improvement on its underlying, break-even performance a year earlier. That was achieved on almost exactly the same revenues of £427m.
Marston's is one of the country's largest pub groups and employs 10,000 people across more than 1,300 UK pubs.
