West Midlands takes public control of buses in £24m Mobico deal
Mobico Group has agreed to sell its West Midlands bus operations to the West Midlands Combined Authority for around £24m, handing the region full control of its bus network ahead of the shift to a franchised system.
The sale covers Mobico's depots and diesel fleet, built up over roughly 40 years running the majority of urban bus services in and around the West Midlands.
