Castings shrugs off power fault to hold full-year guidance

Brownhills-based Castings PLC says it remains on track to meet full-year expectations, despite a power supply issue at its William Lee foundry in Dronfield continuing to affect efficiency into June and July.

In a trading update ahead of its AGM today, the iron casting and machining group said orders and forward schedules were improving, both from its traditional heavy-truck customer base and from new business linked to wind energy.
