Birmingham University spins out Dexter health data platform

The University of Birmingham has launched a new spin-out company to commercialise Dexter, a software platform designed to make health data research faster, more accessible and more reproducible.

Dexter was developed at the University's Institute of Applied Health Research to help scientists sift through anonymised data, conduct observational studies and identify suitable candidates for clinical trials, cutting tasks that used to take months down to hours.
