Veezu’s West Midlands expansion gathers pace with taxi firm deal

Cardiff-based private hire technology firm Veezu has acquired Triple 20 Taxi Cars, a taxi group working with around 270 self-employed drivers across Dudley and Sandwell, in its latest push to grow its Midlands presence.

Triple 20 Taxi Cars operates under the Triple 20 Taxis and Brookfleet Cars brands. Brookfleet Cars was established in Blackheath in 1973 and has provided round-the-clock private hire across the West Midlands for more than 50 years. The acquisition builds on Veezu’s existing regional network across Birmingham, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury and Telford.

Jon Martin, managing director at Veezu, said Triple 20 Taxis and Brookfleet Cars are highly respected local brands with strong community ties across Dudley and Sandwell, adding that passengers will continue receiving the same local service, now backed by Veezu’s technology and wider network.

Founded in Wales in 2013, Veezu has grown into the UK’s largest homegrown private hire business, completing more than 25 million rides annually and operating across hundreds of towns and cities, licensed by 63 local authorities in England and Wales.
