Ibis and Novotel Birmingham hotels sold in seven-property deal

Starboard Hotels, in a joint venture with LaSalle Investment Management, has acquired seven hotels, including ibis Birmingham New Street and Novotel Birmingham Centre, from Ares Real Estate Funds and EQ Group.

The deal, for an undisclosed sum, brings Starboard's UK hotel portfolio to 28, as the operator marks 20 years since its founding in 2006.
