Birmingham named West Midlands’ top hotspot for young entrepreneurs

Birmingham has the highest proportion of under-25 company founders anywhere in the West Midlands, according to a study of directors appointed to new companies over the past year.

Research by virtual office provider Virtual HQ found that 12.9% of the 14,379 directors appointed to new Birmingham companies between August 2025 and July 2026 were under 25, against a national average of 8.7%.
