Barclays appoints new Head of Business Banking

DOUG Woodhouse has been appointed area manager of Barclays Business Banking for East Birmingham and Solihull.

Mr Woodhouse will be responsible for managing a team of 15 business managers across the area, who manage the accounts of established businesses and start-ups with turnover levels ranging from nominal levels to over £1 million.

Mr Woodhouse spent the last eight years working in the local business market and prior to that ran his own family business.

Commenting on his appointment, Doug says: “I am hugely excited by the challenges of the role and the business potential within the area. I would like to extend my thanks to the local businesses that I have already come into contact with, for their encouragement, support and feedback, and look forward to speaking to more and more business leaders over the coming weeks.”
