Chamber launches new skills development programme

BIRMINGHAM Chamber of Commerce Group is launching a new training programme to help firms bridge their skills gap.
Future Faces is designed to help businesses develop staff in the early stages of their careers.
The chamber said it believed that firms would benefit if their staff learned and developed alongside people who were also just starting out on their careers.
The programme will be delivered by experienced trainers who have worked with people at all levels of their careers. It will be tailored towards specific needs and will cover areas such as motivation, inspiration, leadership, sales and communication.
Future Faces has also received the endorsement of the city’s business community, with firms of all sizes agreeing to take part.
The programme will include an event each month, which will involve both a training and social networking element. Networking events will also be included to get staff used to interacting with other businesses.
