Women’s networking group launches in Stratford

LAW firm Shakespeares is supporting women entrepreneurs by teaming up with former Apprentice candidate Jo Cameron for the launch of a new female networking group.

The newly-expanded firm is using its offices in Stratford-upon-Avon – formerly Needham & James – to host the launch of the Stratford branch of the Network of Aspiring Women.

The body, established by Ms Cameron, aims to help more women in Warwickshire grow their businesses.

The network is solely for women-owned businesses, which turn over more than £100k a year and employ people, and for corporate women earning more than £30k per annum.

Ms Cameron said the network was needed to offer support to women who fit into this group because of the unique challenges they face. The group meets once per month, every second Wednesday.

Catriona Attride, partner at Shakespeares’ Stratford office, said: “We are delighted to be hosting such an energetic and fast-growing networking group. We know that when likeminded people come together anything is possible so we are very much looking forward to seeing the group grow.”

Ms Cameron added: “There is a growing group of ambitions and energetic women in Warwickshire who really want to take their business to a new level. We have already seen successful groups become established in Birmingham and Warwick and we are looking forward to expanding into Stratford.”

The launch event takes place at 9am on November 9 at the offices in Bridgeway House, Bridgeway, Stratford-upon-Avon.
